Carline – A huge
Success I just wanted to send out a quick thank you to all of our cubparents! The Carline was a huge success! The teachers in charge just watched in awe as the scouts covered up the sidewalk! Opening doors and getting the kids off into the school. I saw things falling out of cars and scouts picking them right up and proudly handing it to mom or dad. I stood there and barely did anything but smile, wave at parents and occasionally hand an interested parent a flyer. Parents were just smiling from ear to ear as they watched all the scouts working really hard to do all those good deads! I saw Scouts holding open the doors to the school as well. I was so proud of all of our scouts, they all had a great time and I had a great time watching them! I just knew it was going to help us with recruiting this year! And I was right! The scouts sold scouting all day to their friends at school. They all had on their Class A uniforms and just telling kids how much fun they have being a scout!

JSN - Then we had the JSN (Join Scout Night) which is not the only night kids can join scouting, we do it year round! That went really well too! Thank you leaders and parents for coming last night, we had so much help there. It was obvious everyone there was passionate about scouting and ready to help!

  We had 16 official new recruits last night that actually got all of their paperwork done and turned in.

  We have another 5 to 8 potentials that either
  could not make the JSN, but said we’re in or did not get all their paperwork
  turned in, but expect to do so within the next few days.
• 
  We have 6 Scouts that have completed their paperwork
  and have already created a new Den of Tigers!

It looks like we may have a banner year this year for Recruiting! We may end up with around 30 new scouts this year! That is fantastic! We have (before the JSN) 72 scouts in our pack, that will be over 100 scouts if everyone nds up joining! We as a pack did a great job making sure every parent knows scouting is available to their sons at Sparks Elementary and LCA!

I am proud of our Pack, our Parents our Leadership and most importantly our Scouts!
